Apex customer portal

One place your customers can check their own account.

Most billing questions are a customer looking for something you already have: a copy of an invoice, what usage was billed, how many credits are left. The Apex portal shows each verified contact their own account, from the same records the invoices were built from.

Access

A magic link, sent only to a verified contact.

  1. 01

    Verify

A contact is verified against the customer record before any account detail is shown.

  2. 02

    Link

The contact receives a sign-in link by email. There is no password to forget or share.

  3. 03

    Scope

Each contact sees only their own company's account, and parent accounts see their subsidiaries.

What it is not

A window onto the account, not a second ledger.

Payments
The portal shows payments recorded in the ERP. It does not take card or bank payments.
Edits
Customers cannot change invoices. A dispute raised in the portal goes to your team.
Data
Everything shown is read from your Ferrata tenant, which holds your data only.

Agents propose, people approve

The agent drafts. A person decides.

An email follow-up agent can include a portal link in each reminder, and invoice questions raised through the portal are drafted into replies for your team to send.

Every agent stops at an approval gate until it has earned its way out of one. Nothing releases cash, commits spend or touches a customer without a person saying so.

Your dataModels that read your data run inside your environment, behind your firewall. No client data reaches a frontier lab.

Start here, keep the foundation

Start with customer portal. Add the rest without starting over.

The portal comes with invoicing. Because your customers, invoices and payments already sit in your Ferrata foundation, the portal can show them from the first day, and it gains usage, credits and contracts as you switch those functions on.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What is a billing customer portal?

A billing customer portal is a secure page where a customer can see their own invoices, payments, usage and contract terms without emailing your finance team. It answers the routine questions before they are asked.

How do customers sign in?

By magic link. A contact who has been verified against the customer record receives a sign-in link by email. There is no password, and each contact sees only their own company's account.

Can customers pay through the portal?

No. Apex does not process payments. The portal shows payments as your ERP records them and which invoices they were applied to, and customers keep paying the way they do today.

Does the usage in the portal match the invoice?

Yes. The portal reads the same metered quantities the invoice was rated from, by meter and by period, so a customer checking a charge sees the number it came from.

Can a parent company see its subsidiaries?

Yes. A contact at a parent account can see the invoices and usage of each subsidiary, matching how parent and child invoices are billed.

Is the portal branded as ours?

The portal carries your company's name and contact details, so customers see it as part of your billing rather than as a third party.

Start with customer portal, or talk it through first.

Thirty minutes with Ferrata Labs on one workflow. You leave with a view of where Apex fits, and an honest answer if the sequencing is wrong and you should fix something else first.

Your pricing, approval and billing rules are your advantage, and they stay yours. Apex is configured to the way you sell and bill. You are not handing over a playbook or fitting into a template.
